Stolen Works of Art.

Above: Degas' Les Choristes was one of 20 of his works in the Marseilles show.

After the recent art theft of Impressionist artist Edgar Degas' pastel, The Chorus. I had a good look on interpol at other stolen pieces of art. So, if you see any of the above masterpieces hanging in your mates lounge- please call interpol ASAP!
One of the most famous art thefts was that of the Mona Lisa, in 1911. It was stolen by Vincenzo Peruggia who was an employee at the Louvre, it was found after two years.
Thieves will sometimes use the art work in the underworld; as a banking sysyem as collateral for drug and weapons deals. Also they can use the art work as ransom or resale.
